The Chair alarm provides a simple and effective means for alerting when a person leaves their chair or wheelchair. The complete set consists of a soft, flexible chair sensor, an mBox 9200 radio device and a mounting plate. Water resistant and easy to clean, the pressure sensor can be placed either on or under the seat cushion. When the sensor activates, an alarm is sent to the alarm receiving centre via the social alarm unit. Replaceable items can be ordered separately.

How does it work?

The chair sensor is placed under the cushion on a seat or wheelchair. If the user gets up and does not return within a preset time, e.g. 5, 10 or 15 minutes, an alarm is sent to the alarm receiving centre via the social alarm unit. Time parameters can also be programmed so that the device is operational only during certain times of the day, for example between 9 am and 12 pm. Minimum activation weight is 27 kg.
